Happily, in April, on the recommendation of the excellent environmental engineer I was working with, I started working with an architect. It has been a very happy relationship so far. The dossier to ask for construction permits and authorization was submitted yesterday. Now we wait. It will take about 60 days for the dossier to wend its way through the various committees. Once it has done that, there will then be a thirty period in which the public can view and comment on the plans. Fingers crossed, if all goes smoothly, actual real live work will start on the house in February.
I will meet with the bank next week to see what they say. The architect has also given me a new offer to continue working with them. I would really like to, as I’m thrilled with their work and professionalism, it’s just a matter of making sure I can find the money.
